Our Story
Hello and Welcome! I am so glad you are here and I appreciate you taking the time to get to know my small business.
Here and on my website and social media, I share my love for all things green and growing! My name is Brit, and I am a passionate plant lover and a big fan of the outdoors at large. I believe that connecting with Mother Nature through growing our own food and medicine is one of the most rewarding and grounding experiences we can have as human beings.
I grew up in Utah, on a large property that was separated into sections full of vegetables, berries, flowers... all things with roots! I spent my childhood planting, weeding, harvesting, and cooking. There is nothing better than sitting before a meal in a houseplant heavy home, a plate full of whole foods YOU grew and prepared!! This love for nature and its bounty has never left me. Now, as an adult, I am blessed to be able to continue the tradition, passed down from my great-great grandfather who peddled his own harvests on the tailgate of an old International Harvester for a living over 100 years ago! I now live in the elevated (at 9500'!) mountains of Colorado, where I grow hydroponically in a greenhouse due to the short growing season. I also enjoy hiking, foraging for wild edibles (the mushrooms are crazy here!!), and attempting to cross-breed different wildflowers for fun.
I believe that gardening is not just about growing beautiful plants, but about cultivating a deeper connection with the earth and our own selves. Plants have a way of bringing out the best in us! I created this business to share my knowledge and inspire others to get their hands dirty and start growing. Whether you have a small balcony, large backyard, greenhouse, or just a coffee table- there is always a way to connect with nature and in turn, improve your mental and physical health through the healing, connective nature of plant life.
